At the Airport we will be greeted by a representative from A Bucket list Adventure. After lunch we will take a scenic drive to Thimphu.In the evening visit TashichoeDzong(a fortress of glorious religion) which houses the office of His majesty the King and Central monk Body. Overnight at hotel in Thimphu.
After breakfast, we enjoy the scenic drive to Punakha with a stop for tea at Dochu La Pass(3,100 meters), where on a clear day we get spectacular views of the Himalayas. We will host the prayer flags for the sentiment being around the world. We drive downhill through rhododendron, fir and hemlock forests. We then pass through rice fields along river banks and reach Punakha. We visit Punakha Dzong. Built in 1637, it is the second oldest Dzong in Bhutan.After lunch, , we stop at Metshina Village and take a 20-minute walk through the rice fields to Chimi Lhakhang, a fertility temple dedicated to the Devine Madman or Lama Drukpa Kuenley .Then we drive to Gangtey/Phobijikha Valley, a winter home for Black Necked crane. Overnight at hotel in Gantey.
After breakfast, we will visit Gangtey Monastery,a seat of the body reincarnation of Terton Pema Lingpa (treasure discoverer) and then drive to Thimphu. After reaching Dochu La pass (3150m) we visit the new DrukWangyal Monastery. With elaborate paintings depicting the lineage of the present monarchy and their visionary works, the Druk Wangyal Monastery is the one of its kind in the country. Drive back to Thimphu for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, we will visit National Library, Painting School, Takin Zoo, Buddha Point( a giant statue,169ft tall of Buddha sitting on hill),Paper making factory, Folk Heritage Museum. Afterlunch we will drive to Paro. We will visit National museum (to know about the culture, history, People and biodiversity of Bhutan), Visit Paro Dzong (fortress) built in 17th century which now house an administration and monastic body of the Paro district .overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.
After breakfast, we drive for 15mins to the base and hike for 4 -5 hours to Taktsang (Tigers Nest) Monastery, which is Bhutan’s most famous monastery situated 900m above the valley. In 8th century Guru Rinpoche (spiritual master) is said to have flown on the back of a tigress to meditate in a cave where Taktsang Monastery now stands. Lunch will be served in the Cafeteria Restaurant, located about halfway up the mountain. After having explored the monastery, we hike down to the valley. We will stroll around the main street of Paro town and if you wish to, we can visit farm house for a typical Bhutanese dinner, a traditional hot-stone bath and play Traditional Archery. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.
Today after breakfast, we will drive to Paro Airport and our representative will bid you farewell at the Airport. If you have enough time before flight, probably you can discuss with your guide and visit some places around.
